We have dismantled 100s of historic timber frames since 1998. Our journey began with a mission to reclaim and restore these exceptional structures, ensuring that their history and craftsmanship are not forgotten. We believe that antique timber frames have the capacity to be reclaimed as a stunning architectural masterpiece. Our role is to honor and continue the life of these incredible historic structures through meticulous restoration and thoughtful integration into new builds.

Our Story

Bay and Bent was inspired by a profound appreciation for the artistry and durability of historic timber frames. Recognizing the need to preserve these invaluable structures, we set out to create a company dedicated to the careful dismantling, restoration, and re-erection of timber frames. Our partnership with Antique Building Solutions, a leader in historic construction materials, allows us to offer unparalleled quality and authenticity in every project.

Our founders, with backgrounds in construction, architecture, and historical preservation, shared a vision of creating a company that celebrates history. Dan Trimble has been in the timber frame business for nearly 30 years and his team continues to excel in the industry, transforming antique barns and historic timber frames into beautiful, functional heritage homes and event venues. Our team has carefully dismantled hundreds of pre-civil war structures since 1998. Our vision and extensive experience has driven us to become leaders in the field of heritage restoration, known for our expertise, dedication, and commitment to sustainability.

Our Commitment to Heritage Preservation

Built between the late 1700's and mid 1800's these incredible antique structures display the authenticity of hand hewn and sawn timber from old wood forests.
